Skitzo Disko is my beloved baby since 2008. I’ve started with a party series at the Rockhouse Bar in Salzburg. In 2009 followed two parties more at SAKOG in Trimmelkam, with Monosurround and Transformer di Roboter live. Alongside the party series I’ve started a mixtape series with the same name to share my favorite tracks with you, my friends! The typical Skitzo Disko sound ranges from Vocal based heavy Electro, inspired by french touch Electro over Glitch Hop to Dubstep and everything beteween! The Skitzo Disko logos and designs are always a bit retro 80s style, cause I love the colors, the neon glows and the lens flares. So watch out for the upcoming Skitzo Disko Releases. I can’t wait to mix some more mixtapes for you!
Deus X Machina
Part one of Skitzo Disko Vol.8 is wild mixture of Electro, Glitch Hop, Grime, Dancehall and Dubstep.
I think Electro, Fidget and NuRave stagnates this year somehow, so I find my love for Glitch, Dubstep and really heavy basslines. The Glitch Mob from LA inspires me also a lot! Oh man, I love these guys! Anyway, this mix goes directly from your ears through your belly into your feet!
The intro speech is taken from the Motionpicture Network (1976). The whole speech takes almost four minutes, so I have to crop it to less than two minutes. The background is a track by SebastiAn from the Motionpicture Soundtrack of Notre Jour Viendra. A new film by Romain Gavras, the director of Justice’s Stress and M.I.A’s Born Free Video. And last but not least, I put another Rock Me Skitzo Remix into the mix. Yeah Left from Serbia did a really great job!

Beyond Darkness
The second part is more quit than the first and very melancholic, but there are also a lot of bass in it! This is more or less a Dubstep Mix with a lot of remixes and melodic tunes. The last track is no Dubstep but one of my favs this year. It’s a mystical project called “iamamiwhoiami“. Nobody knows excactly who they are. Except the female singer, Jonna Lee, this no longer a secret!

Skitzo Disko Has Killed My Girlfriend
This is the two hour extended version of Skitzo Disko Vol.4. The guys from KEEP≠REAL asked me for an exclusive 2h mix for there blog. It was fun to make this oversize mix with a lot of Electro and Indietronic tunes. The first version was just 80 minutes long, so I have to find a way to expand it to a length of 120 minutes. If you are a good listener, you’ll find the beginning of the extended version! I’ll tell you…the extended part starts with the amazing cover version of Rihannas “S.O.S” from The Last Shadow Puppets! This is the two hour extended version of Skitzo Disko Vol.4. The guys from KEEP≠REAL asked me for an exclusive 2h mix for there blog. It was fun to make this oversize mix with a lot of Electro and Indietronic tunes. The first version was just 80 minutes long, so I have to find a way to expand it to a length of 120 minutes. If you are a good listener, you’ll find the beginning of the extended version! I’ll tell you…the extended part starts with the amazing cover version of Rihannas “S.O.S” from The Last Shadow Puppets! The coverdesign is an adaption of the Looker Movieposter from 1981.

Skitzo Disko Vol.1
This is my first part of the Skitzo Disko Mixtape series, based on the idea to combine banging Electro, NuRave and Indietronic tunes. The name Skitzo Disko is inspired by the Justice remix of Scenario Rock’s “Skitzo Dancer”! The coverdesign is a very colorful animated gif that shows a couple of Skitzo Dancers on a virtual dancefloor. The crazy dancers wear T-Shirts with band- and artistlogos which are all featured in the mix.
