I designed the winning entry in the Auraria Library's competition to name and design a logo for a new library fundraising event. The evening gala was to feature a silent auction of art kites created by students from the three schools on the Auraria Campus. Funds raised would benefit an e-learning center in the Auraria Library. "Beyond the Stacks" described the event literally (artwork was displayed hanging from the ceiling) and figuratively (the funds would be used to move the library from books to the internet).
Because my identity design was chosen, I got to design the invitations and poster for the inaugural event. My design was inspired by the look and feel of libraries pre-computer.
