When the lockdown started I was relieved to know that we were still allowed to exercise in the public space. However, I soon realised that the places where I would usually cycle in normal circumstances, like green paths, parks and canals, were busier than usual, making them an awkward setting to circulate while keeping the security distance with other people.  

So I started cycling in the other places that I would normally avoid, those that concentrate the frantic economic and touristic activity of the big city. It was a shocking experience contemplating all these areas emptied of all bustle, transformed into a ghost scenario which, paradoxically, made them the perfect one to cycle. After a few times, I decided to bring my camera with me on my rides and capture some of the spots I will pass through, which resulted in this series.
