Ce projet a été imaginé pour le film Into The Wild dans le cadre d’un workshop de Olivier Marquezy avec Lois Ahmed à Gobelins : l’école de l’image. Dans ce générique, nous voulions faire ressentir la bivalence entre la beauté de la nature et sa dangerosité. L’ambition était aussi de représenter la nature dans ses différents aspects : belle, grandiose, complexe, dangereuse en 3D. Le but n’était de ne pas montrer simplement des plantes ou des arbres tel quels mais d’aller chercher les différentes formes présentes dans cette nature et d’exploiter cette diversité au service de visuels forts. Ce motion design voulait faire perdre l’ordre d’échelle au spectateur : macro/micro ou plan d’ensemble. Ce travail a un sens tout particulier car il va insuffler un vent de fraicheur au film dans le traitement graphique en ayant la même idée de storytelling.

This project was conceived for the movie Into The Wild as part of a workshop of Olivier Marquezy with Lois Ahmed at Gobelins: the school of the image. In this opening title, we wanted to feel the both sides between the beauty of nature and its dangerousness. The ambition was also to represent nature in its various aspects: beautiful, grandiose, complex, dangerous in 3D. The goal was not to simply show plants or trees as they are, but to look for the different forms present in this nature and to exploit this diversity in the service of strong visuals. This motion design wanted to lose the order of viewer's scale: macro / micro or overall plan. This work has a special meaning because it will breathe a breath of fresh air to the film in the graphics processing with the same idea of storytelling.
