Hunting Knife
Year: 2012
Project: Knife
Where : Krabbeholm Højskole

Description
As a spare time project when I was a teacher’s assistant I participated in a student knife-making workshop. After the workshop where I made an ice axe I decided to make four hunting knifes as presents for my family. The hilt of the knife is handmade from mahogany treated with olive oil. The blade is made from scrap metal and afterward sharpened by a toolmaker. The bland welded together with the guard and glued into the hilt with epoxy with a spacing made of old bicycle hose allowing the wood handle to grow and shrink without breaking. The sheath I made from untreated leather that is hand-sown together, strengthened by metal rivets.
