Three illustraitions to be used in an editorial about charisma.
 
The article uses Obama as a key study of charismatic personalities; it states “In the early day of his presidency, he was hailed as an icon of hope. More recently, he has been criticised as condescending, self-interested and detached. He is still the same man, of course, but perception is what matters. Part of his charisma was in the eyes of his followers”.

Charlie Chaplin- immediately recognisable. Most people are instantly drawn to his comical charm, and he is commonly viewed as one of the most charismatic performers of his time.

Using electronic badges that record information such as tone of voice, proximity to others and gesticulations, scientists have identified four types of non-verbal social signal that they believe underpin harisma.

The illustration of a mime applying makeup communicates both the idea of mimicry, the importance of non-verbal communication, and the idea that charisma can be faked.
