The design aimed on exploring materiality of composited material and lamination fiber. Through experimenting physical material to develop parametric design and detail of fabrication. There are four part of research : 1.studying material and concept development. 2. fabricating "abstract machine" for the study of materiality. 3. Developing parametric material prototypes. 4.Achieving tectonic architecture and aesthetics morphology.
The first part is experiment of testing material. It started from increasing the proportion of length and fixing wide stripe, its proportions is from 1:2 to 1: 20. Through bending and twisting stripes to explore structure and deformation. The destination of testing was to make each element could be stored energy and equilibrium which was based on materiality. The four prototypes are focused on different combinations and the structural force from single unit to multiple units. Each unit on prototypes was interacted with other units and deformed by continuous force. 

Second part, there were four proportions which were 1:6, 1:8, 1:16, 1:16 to parametric design and fabricate prototypes. Developed various strategies for constructing geometry in Rhino and Grasshopper.

Third part is from computational design to digital fabrication. Produced concept prototypes with CAM and adjusted detail to assembly.

Fourth part, from four concept prototypes to explore architectural aesthetics with material and tectonics. The four architectural parametric designs are following the mechanisms of material deformations from four concept models of materiality and developing structural systems. According to the site to put different functions in building-scale, there are Bike station, Bridge, Pavilion, Observation Tower.
