The task for this project was to transform a movie into a book, working with pictures, but also making sure it included a significant textual element. 

 

I chose to work on the film Buongiorno, notte (Good Morning, Night) by Italian director Marco Bellocchio. The film offers a peculiar perspective on one of the most important events in recent Italian history: the kidnapping of the politician Aldo Moro in 1978.

The book was divided in sections, on two different stocks of paper.

 

Real historical material was presented on white paper and in black and white, while extracts from the movie were in colours on ivory paper.
