BlueFinder jailbreak tweak: Have you ever lost your iPhone somewhere in your home, but had quick access to a paired Bluetooth device? If so, then you might be excited to learn about a new jailbreak tweak called BlueFinder by iOS developer AnthoPak.

BlueFinder lets you use a paired Bluetooth accessory to trigger an audible ringing sound on your misplaced handset. This has a significant edge for awkward folk who drop their iPhones between the sofa cushions. Or leave their handset somewhere in the house and forget where they put it.

How BlueFinder Works?

BlueFinder seems immediately comparable to Apple’s native Find My feature for AirPods. While the on-device Find My app can be used to produce a loud noise from a lost AirPod. BlueFinder works by having the user power their Bluetooth device off and on a pre-determined number of times in a row to trigger a loud noise from their lost iPhone.

It’s worth noting that a lost iPad or iPhone can already be located with the Find My app on another device or web browser as long as it’s connected to the internet. BlueFinder, however, works whether that device is connected to the internet or not, so long as the handset is within Bluetooth range (~30 feet at most).
