Deep Calendar : A life span of E-waste
E-waste is the most rapidly growing waste problem in the world. We generate about 50 million tons of it every year. This is equivalent to throwing out 1000 laptops every single second. In some places the amount of e-waste increases with 500 % in the years to come. In addition, most of the E-waste are dispose into the landfill, which can be dissolve in hundred thousand years.
With the issue of electronic waste, I use the concept of deep time to let user understand that what kind of responsibility to be throwing away an electronic device. In the form of calendar, this object can be hang up to remind user the lifespan of their electronic devices. The transparency of this calendar can let the user know better of what's inside the complex device. So in the End of use process, the object can be used properly.
