Luggage Tag (Vector Art, Merchandise)

Luggage Tag
Introduction
Design a luggage tag based on a destination that means something to you.
Initial Ideas
I chose to design a luggage tag based upon the city of Hong Kong as it is my birthplace and a country that means a lot to me.  I also wanted to focus the design around a specific brand.  This would give me a unique colour palette and also give me a specific style to adhere to their brand.  I was considering basing my design around Cathay Pacific; an airline from Hong Kong.
Sketches and Moodboards
I created a moodboard to illustrate some of my intial thought process and highlight potential starting points and ideas to explore during the design stage.  I wanted to bring out Hong Kong's unique landmarks and scenic landscapes. I settled on using Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour as it is a very well-known and picturesque setting.
I also created a moodboard of Cathay Pacific to understand their corporate branding, colours, and style.
After a bit of exploration, I found a very attractive colour palette that I wished to use for my design.
Starting the Design
I used my favorite image from the moodboard as a template to start bringing the tag design to life.
By creating shapes and outlines in Adobe Illustrator, I was able to create editable vector graphics of different elements that I wanted to be part of the design.
The Final Design
After a bit of experimentation with the colour palette on different elements, I added Cathay Pacifc's corporate logo together with their company motto and some supporting graphics to finish the front.  For the back I created a "ribbon" like shape to emphasize movement and seamlessness and added text.  Below is the final product.
