Four Principles of Design

Off the bat with this specific image, my rough outline had already looked- in my opinion- absolutely awesome. I tried going for a Warlock from Destiny holding fire, or even a Knight looking over fire, in which case the latter worked out really well.
This was NOT the first image I had gone with, and to be quite honest it should have been because I really love how it turned out. Why I finally went with this design, instead of just a mash up of random phrases set in different font sizes, was because of some ideas based off a few other people's thoughts and ideas. A new clarity of thought really allowed me to understand what I wanted to do.
Keeping with a natural theme that I sort of accidentally fell into, I decided to make a design off of tree bark. How each piece of the tree is never really the same thickness, but still retains a streamline design where each piece leaks into one another. And with the lines slowly warping into the center, almost like an Aspen Tree.
A key chain with the United States Navy Seal on it, or a black glove with the Cross inscribed with the Lord's Prayer.. I'll take the latter, please. Not only did it flow into this accidental theme, but I didn't have a clear direction I wanted to take with the Key chain, so I just said, "Screw it, this looks good". Plus with emphasis, I think the glove's  highlights were light enough that they wouldn't conflict with the cross.
