Richie Tickle - Streaming Kit
This project is for a Twitch streamer called Richie Tickle. I worked closely with him to create the outcome and the designs he was looking for. I created a full suite of designs for him to use to expand his streaming career.
These are the initial design concepts I came up with. I decided on a feather motif to fit the name and we gradually went from the top left design to the bottom right.
The client decided after this that they'd like a more distinctive look to their branding, so I put this forward as a proof of concept for a vaporwave aesthetic. They approved of it so we moved forward with the designs.
These are some of the images I came forward with to use, went strongly with the vapourwave aesthetic and kept it consistant. The main logo on the left can be used as an avatar on various social media platforms and the feather and triangle can be used to create a variety of images.
This is the Twitter banner for the brand, the metallic text highlighting the name to draw the eye as well as the usernames for his Twitch profile and youtube channel. I also carried over the white triangle and rainbow motif from the initial concept.
This is the offline screen for the Twitch channel. Very bold text to make it clear that the channel is offline as well as the grid to keep the colours and vaporwave theme consistant.
These images are examples of the panels used at the bottom of the stream to link to various other social media and services. I bought back the white triangle and the pink and blue triangle to tie the theme together over the entire page.
These are the two animations I created to introduce the stream. The first animation can be played on repeat until he is ready to begin the stream, at which point he can play the second to complete the loading animation and begin then stream.
This is the animation used when the stream needs to be paused for a short amount of time. It is a simple looping animation which uses all of the elements of the original concept image. The purpose of this is just to give the viewers something to look at while the stream is gone.
This is the ending screen animation for the stream, when the stream is over it pops up to indicate that he has stopped streaming for the time being. I decided to use the static look to convey that more clearly and the text that pops up is a catchphrase he uses at the end of all his streams.
These are the sub badges for the channel. As an affiliate, if anyone subscribes to him they get a badge next to their name in the chat. If they are subscribed for a long period of time they can have an upgraded icon, I decided to have the original chrome feather as the starting badge, followed bu bronze, silver and gold for the upgrades. These icons have to work at extremely small sizes so it has to be visually distinct and striking.
These are the channel emotes for the client. They are based on his face and work in a similar way to the channel badges. The clean shaven style is for new subscribers and the longer you are subscribed for you eventually get the mustached and the bearded version.
These are examples of the kit in use. The offline screen and the "Follow my twitter" pop-up can be seen, as well as a webcam border I made to be able to change to whatever size he needed it at. You can also see the sub badges next to the names in the chat.
