Chocolate factory identity:
a design exercice
This is a project I created in university and recently upgraded. The goal was to take an existent brand and rethink their identity.
Feitoria do Cacao is a chocolate factory located in Aveiro, Portugal. Because we don't grow cacao in Portugal, Feitoria do cacao gets their cacao beans from several countries with good soils (Several african countries, Costa Rica, Peru, etc), so that's why I created copywriting for the advertising like "Flavours os the world reunited in one unique place" and "From the origin to our kitchen".
I used the white tiles so typical from the big kitchens we are used to, almost like canteens, but gave it a modern twist. The original dark red was changed to this tone of blue and I added some complementary colours, stepping away from the typical brown from the chocolate.
