I chose to redesign the album cover of one of my favorite bands The Beatles. I picked the Yellow Submarine album since it reminds me a lot of my childhood and I wanted to challenge myself to design an album cover aimed for children. 

I was inspired by Heinz Edelman initially, however, I transformed my illustrations to more youthful drawings.

I drew a yellow submarine in a green sea as mentioned in the song. I kept the representation of the members of the Beatles inside the submarine in a simplified and minimalistic way. They are surrounded by monsters of the sea inspired by one of the songs of the album “sea of monsters”.

I added a popup rainbow inside to give the album a playful surprise effect for the children.
