A friend of mine needed a logo sting for his newly formed production company, Cinema Errático. The name was meant to convey the punk rock origins and DIY aesthetic of main producer Jose Luis Martin and his video comrades in arms, as well as reflect the endless days and nights of making cut after cut after cut, and stretching themselves and the projects to the limit. I interpreted the name and the frenetic working methods that inspired it by making multiple copies of a print-out of the name and creating variations and distortions by moving the print out while the copy was being made.

I then scanned in the various paper copies, inverted them in Photoshop and then created an animation by sequencing them in After Effects. For the sound design, I used some left over audio clips from his first feature - in particular one saying "...es una historia muy chingona..." which means "it's a f*cking cool story...", overlaid with a soothing tone interrupted by some residual sonic jitters, that's meant to imply a mellowing with years... kind of...
