30Seven, a company that makes thread that can produce heating in clothing, asked us to come up with other uses of their product. Gertjan and myself came up with a product that could shorten the healing process for open wounds. We based us on a study that showed that heating and cooling down a wound improves the healing process. This topic is called Topical Radiant Heating. We made a compress that would be applied to the patient by nursing or home care. It would have major impact on people with bad blood flow like older people or people with diabetes.
