TALENTHOUSE X WATFORD FC

ABOUT 
My aim for this brief was to create something that would evoke the heritage and legacy that is Watford Football Club and The Hornets. The nickname came just after 1922 when the local Benskins brewery had purchased the recreation ground and leased it to Watford. It then gave them the nickname "The Brewers" until 1959, when the nickname changed to "The Hornets" because of their gold and black kit. When designing this logo rebrand, I really wanted to capture the yellow and black core colours and strip it back to a simplistic, sophisticated look that would draw attention to the public audience, with the aim to show Watford FC in a new professional and modern light, that challenges the raise of its football success along with the rest of other European teams.
