All eight signatures of this novel were hand stitched and then typeset in Adobe Garamond, 11/13. 

The dust-jacket serves to portray various controversial and juxtaposed themes that touch upon love, politics, art and religion. These themes shadow a lofty plot line that follows the lives of five inanimate objects, as well as two lovers that are oceans apart. The elements used, such as the map, the spoon, and the skyline, were carefully chosen to form a dynamic and yet eclectic collage that reflects the almost lawless writing of Tom Robbins.
