Paul Rand - Design and The Play Book

For this assignment, we were allowed two colors (other than white.) The book speaks its title so I wanted to keep that in mind when picking my colors. I chose black because it is powerful and bold and then the red brings in playfulness and excitement. I used the Proxima Nova family because it has great flexibility and easy on the eyes.

"The book revolves around the instinct for order, the need for rule that, if broken, spoil the game, create uncertainty and irresolution. Without play, there is no experimentation." - Paul Rand
