Greek Gods and Goddesses: Race to Olympus
It is now time for the Greek Gods and Goddesses annual Race to Olympus. This race is held for the King of the Gods to help him determine what type of person you are if you are entered in the race. As for the competitors this will be a test of strength to see what army you can join and fight alongside with. Hades, Athena, or the King of the Gods himself: Zeus. Different treacherous paths will be bestowed upon you that you will have to navigate through with your decisions that you make. The Gods and Goddesses servants are hiding throughout all of the forest watching your every move that you make, so they can tally the results at the. (If you make it out alive.) The night before the annual race there is a big banquet held for all participants, for some might not make it out alive in the race. It is now time for you get readied up. A dark, horrific, and murky forest awaits your actions.
Greek Gods and Goddesses: Race to Olympus is a narrative game that is best played with three people. (The third person being a game master.) The game master in this game is to be consider the third player. They are to read out a narrative story that is already scripted for the players. The main objective of the game is to finish the race with the most points that would be given based on the actions that the player makes. The game master would also have a say in giving points if there is one playing too. There are 3 different paths that the players would be able to choose from. One of Pure Good, Neutral, and Pure Evil are the different paths players would be able to go down. Players would also have item cards that would aid them in the decisions they make. The most challenging part for creating the game was a reasonable point system that passed on the actions that players would make during the game.
Tristian Diaz: Created the Rules, Narrative, and Cards.
Aline Alexandre: Created the Game Board.
The game had some improvements and new additions for it's second coming. The improvement that was made for the game was the updated look and feel for the cards. The design on the cards was change from a drawing to a digitally created image. Some of the new additions to the game were the increased size for the game board and newly created scenarios to increase the duration of the game. This allowed the players to choose from more unique paths with different scenarios.
