A Closer Look
Hoboken, NJ

11/1/19
I had a huge gap of time today and the weather was absolutely gorgeous! I decided to take advantage of this and
go shoot. I wanted to pick something that was unusual for me and something I had never really played with before. I am often focused on wide angles and getting an entire object into a shot. Today, I focused really hard on honing in on different textures, colors, accent pieces, and overall "close-up aesthetic". It was a really fun project and I found it to really help with practicing mindfulness. I was very locked in on my surroundings and took my time walking, with no destination in mind. I saw something cool, then I walked over to take a picture. The entire process was really enjoyable and I definitely feel as if I will be finding myself constantly noticing these types of hidden visual masterpieces on a day to day basis. All of these were taken on my iPhone XS and edited with one single filter on VSCO.
