When thinking of rhyming words, I was also thinking about what could work together to create a cohesive illustration. When I thought of Bone Phone, I immediately saw the bone as the handset of an old style phone in my head. After a few drawings, I decided to bring it into Illustrator and do the project digitally, because I knew I wouldn't be able to get the clean, simple aesthetic I wanted creating it by hand. Overtime, I switched from a flat, more life like bone to a curved, stylized bone to connect more to a phone handset. Throughout the project I simplified the piece so it was a simple and cohesive black and white image.
