A play of images formed the first week in out of the two months in Gwangju, South Korea.
The first meal I shared with our lovely curators was a bowl of bibimbap while briefly discussing the history of the city. Additionally from that day on, every time I ventured out in search of food, I had to cross the main square where the violence happened—it is the heart of the city. And so one is reminded on the daily the blood and tears shed for the people to enjoy what they enjoy today.
