Gig Poster: Feeling the Music

When I listen to music, I feel like it carries my to another place. I get to break out of my shell of responsibilities and routine, and just feel life. My goal was to set out to make a gig poster that depicted this concept that music makes you more than you may think you are.
I first began mind mapping and sketching concepts and the more I sketched, the more ideas came to mind!
Once I finally decided on the best way to depict my idea, I realized I need to understand how to draw the human head and face. Thus, I began again to sketch over and over.
I finally got myself on the computer and put my ideas to color and perspective, and my draft came out as such:

At first, I was pretty pleased with the progress and learning I gained. However, after letting others critique, I realized there was two very crucial things I need to fix: my face proportions and my color pallet.
After extensive learning about perspective, proportions, and color schemes, I finally came to a solution I enjoyed. I wanted others to feeling the vibrancy and movement music brings into our lives, and I think these concepts are portrayed well in my final piece.

Viola!
