Within this work I decided to follow the journey of a waste water pipe through the Lagan Meadows in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I wanted to see how something a simple as a pipe could ruin the landscape in which it has to travel through.


Working from the treatment plant outwards I followed the path of pipe, looking for the ways in which they had tried to hide it from the walking paths, even to the point of blending it with the curve of bridges or suspending it through the trees. It seems quite strange to me to put something so destructive through such a beautiful area in Belfast.
