The French-Japanese A+A Cooren Design Studio signed the interior design of the Cité de la Céramique's main gallery. The aim of the display system for the Manufacture of Sèvres was to enhance its four centuries history of creation through a selection of 100 pieces. Reminiscent of the sunrise in Asia, the vaporised yellow gradation opens a vertical evasion of the space, while the void created between the thin-edge plywood shelves and the light wire-cube structure, expresses the lightness and the impression of floating shelves.

Graduated from École Camondo in Paris in 1999, the French-Japanese design duo Aki and Arnaud Cooren founded A+A Cooren Design Studio in the same year. The multidisciplinary studio is works in the field of lighting, as well as product, furniture and interior design. With a simple Japanese design aesthetic, the studio seeks to integrate a subtle reference to nature into everyday objects and interiors.
