into the dark unknown landscapes of her inner world.

I drew inspiration from an old folk tune, transforming the symbols into a journey through the landscapes of body and soul. Using transparent papers, painted with oil paints, and combined with scratched cut-outs, I aimed to illuminate the subconscious state of mind.

The stop motion animated film, completed in 2024, is the result of three and a half years of work at the Finta Studio in Ljubljana with my crew of animators and other talented artists.

I am a director, animator, illustrator and art director. I have been working side by side with Špela Čadež for a decade revitalising the multiplane cut-out technique as main animator on multiawarded films Nighthawk and Steakhouse. The short animated film Three Birds is my directorial debut.
