Ultimate Hunt - Scavenger Hunt Mobile Game

Overview
Project Brief
I designed "Ultimate Hunt" as part of my UX Design course with CareerFoundry.

It is a mobile scavenger hunt game with a strong social focus. Also is designed so you can start playing immediately after signing up. It includes games made by the game masters, by the community and by artificial intelligence. It enables you to create scavenger hunts of your own to share with your friends or the world, as well as compete with strangers or your social circle.

My Role
I was in charge of the entire design process, from the original concept to the final prototype.
I conducted the research, made the wireframes, the mockups and the clickable prototype.
Understanding the problem
Potencial Problems:
- Poor user interface.
- No hunts in my city.
- Hunts only in English.
- Players don't know other people to play with.
- You have to pay for a service like this to expect quality.

Problem Statement:
Our players need a way to find other people in their area also interested in scavenger hunts, because this is ideally a social kind of game but it's hard to find people to play with.

We will know that this is true when users connect with other enthusiast in our app and play together in our platform.

Possible Solutions:
An app that allows users to connect their social media and see which friends are already playing and also allows them to invite other friends to join the game. With a feature for joining nearby hunts and add the people they meet as friends in the app. Also, a way to look for people in the same city who are also looking for fellow players to create new groups.
Competitive Analysis:
I ran the competitive analysis on 2 of the top scavenger hunt apps in the Google Play Store, being the most important one "Let's Roam".

I did a SWOT analysis and the main points were that they are strong in the business since they call themselves the No.1 scavenger hunt company in the world, their website and app look great and they are very professional. On the downside their service has to be paid and reserved in advance, there is no way to play immediately
Understanding my audience
For this purpose I conducted interviews with my target audience and it went as follows:
Based on this information I created two User Personas:
Next we can see the user journeys, Task analysis and user flows.
The evolution of the design
After some iterations and user testing, we can appreciate the changes on the design.
Next we can see the evolution of the wireframes and the mockups:
The prototype
And finally after several iterations,  we have a clickable prototype of Ultimate Hunt in this link, and a demo video where I go more into detail about my design decisions right here. Thanks in advance for checking out my work. Enjoy!

In the end I managed to solve the initial problem, but also most of the other "possible problems"; The game is design to be free to play, you can let the app create a hunt for you in seconds or create your own hunts anywhere in the world, in your own language for your own community or even the whole world to play!
