Working as a designer in a design agency, I thought about the idea of designing in a more neutral, eco-friendly way.
If you think this trough, all things we load and play are stored online. Music, images and movie streaming services...
Everything is connected, getting 'smarter' and is stored is in the invisible thing we call the 'cloud'.
What we don't think about is the huge amount of energy it takes to make these platforms 24-7 available. Huge server farms are using more energy than a medium sized city.
In the future this will only go further (think about 5G for example), resulting in file sizes going only upward.
Maybe it's time to think about this for a second...
