2019 marks the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child; the most widely ratified convention in history. This is a milestone in ensuring the rights of the child are recognized and upheld. Sri Lanka became a party to the convention in 1991.
To mark this milestone and commemorate the rights of the child, the UNICEF office in Sri Lanka wishes to create a campaign calling on all presidential candidates to address the rights of children in their manifest.
