Philips Water Dispenser
The design process for the Philips RO water dispenser involved a systematic approach to create a high-tech product that embodies the modern home aesthetic. Setting a new standard in water filtering technology while maintaining the brand's design language.
The first step in the design process was to study the existing Philips family design language. This involved analyzing the visual elements, such as the use of pure white color, and incorporating them into the water dispenser design. Additionally, the clean blue LED signal lighting was identified as a key feature to enhance the overall user experience.
To ensure user convenience and intuitive operation, divided the water dispenser into two distinct sections: the filtering section and the drinking section. This division was visually represented through color differentiation, allowing users to easily identify and interact with the desired area. The user interface was carefully designed to be touch-sensitive, providing a seamless and interactive experience. By implementing touch controls, users could effortlessly select from a range of options. The water dispenser offered four volume settings and four temperature levels, catering to individual preferences and delivering a personalized hot drink experience.
One of the standout features of the Philips RO water dispenser was the integration of an All-in-One RO water filter system. This technology ensured the delivery of purified water for drinking, aligning with the increasing global demand for healthier water options.
Throughout the design process, attention was given to maintaining a balance between aesthetics, functionality, and user experience. The result was a sleek and modern water dispenser that met the high standards expected from a Philips product while addressing the growing need for water filtering solutions in households worldwide.
