This assignment was to create a first aid tool kit for kids for an existing brand. I decided to make a nature/outdoor first aid tool belt for the National Park Foundation.
My kit contains a handmade, adjustable, buckling tool belt with hand-sewn, custom-sized, removable pouches. The pouches are made from durable twill fabric in gender-neutral colors with a red lining, and close with either a red drawstring or velcro. The pouches affix to the belt with loops and contain items such as a water bottle, calamine lotion, tissues, alcohol wipes, bandages, and bear spray.
The box closes and opens with a drawstring, echoing the drawstring pouches on the tool belt. A bear shaped window on the front reveals part of the tool belt inside the package. The box features simple graphic imagery and color palette, and lists its contents on one side, while introducing the National Park Foundation on another.
