mudaC museo delle arti Carrara, previously known as CAP Centro Arti Plastiche,
is a contemporary museum located in Carrara (Tuscany),
the city of the famous white marble blocks that Michelangelo chose and carved to create his timeless masterpieces.
In 2019 while I was attending my last year in Net Art at Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara,
I was asked to design the whole new brand identity of the museum starting from the logo.
Once the logo was approved I worked on a visual communication solution for the whole museum.
The internal communication will always maintain the black and white colour combination while each event will have two different colours.
I worked hand in hand with relevant curators, artists and architects (Studio stARTT) creating the internal signs, various pvc stickers, forex panels and setting the layout for the description tags.
We also planned the outdoor communication: in these photos made by Gaia Pivac some of the students of the Fine Arts Academy of Carrara are sculpting the logo on the outside wall of the museum.
