Fight Your Way Through, my Senior Capstone project, is one that is very close to my heart in many ways. It goes without saying that everyone in the creative field will (and indeed do) hit creative walls. When you first start out, there is always a disconnect between what you create and what we aspire to achieve. Ira Glass once commented on this thought that is constantly suspended over our heads. Taking his words, I attempt to push it further visually with dynamism, but most importantly, by treating the type in a way that evokes my passion for the beauty of typography. Finished piece is 48”x72”, vinyl adhesive on plexiglass.

 

This project received the 3rd place Loyola Mellon Award for best in show and excellence in Fine Arts.
