Columbus - In Space - ESA

“In fourteen hundred and ninety-two
Columbus sailed the ocean blue…”
In 2008 Columbus launched into the blackness of space.
This book is about a laboratory. Can you name any laboratory on Earth? Maybe not, so you might be wondering why this book. Well, Columbus is a 7-m long, 10-tonne laboratory – not on Earth but circling our planet at a speed of 28,800 km/h, and it has been doing so for over 10 years.
