I designed this logo for a 6 bedroom guesthouse called Villa Aloha which opened in Umhlanga, South Africa in 2016.

I designed the brand, logo, email signatures as well as the letter heads, envelopes, brochures and the website on WiX website builder.
The only inspiration I had to draw from was this photo the owner took of a mural a local artist painted inside the guesthouse entrance.

The guesthouse grew to over 600 followers in just 2 months on Facebook alone and it was popularised quite quickly in the Umhlanga area as the go to place for business executives and couples.

The guesthouse is located on the Eastern Coast, in Umhlanga in the tropical region of South Africa and the ocean is visible from the guesthouse driveway. 
I really tried to emphasise the sunsets in the brand with the palm trees which symbolises Hawaii, which is where the name of the guesthouse originated from since the owners wife was born in Hawaii.

Both of them decided to open up the guesthouse together and call it Villa Aloha,
I also worked with a professional photographer who took and sent me these photos using “Wetransfer” in order to use them for marketing purposes. I used the photos in advertisements I created on the Facebook page as well as the brochure and email signature.

This guesthouse was one of my first design endeavours and it was so pleasing for me to see it grow as much as it did on social media networks - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and how locals would always come back to their trusted Villa Aloha guesthouse.
