A month in the Balkans

One month in the Balkans
60hours and 48 minutes of buses and trains, 25 days, 5 countries, 8 cities, 25 Gb of photos.
Balkans are a mix of desire for a better future and a heavy history floating in the air.
The itinerary: Moldova - Romania - Bulgaria - North Macedonia - Croatia
A woman sitting in the courtyard of a church.
Bucharest, Romania
The Botanical Garden offers a refreshing yet industrial view because of its location right to a factory.
Bucharest, Romania
But the wild & neglected textures are always more charming, isn't it?
And then there are texture that are too spoiled.
Palace of the Parliament, Bucharest, Romania.
What do you want to do tonight, honey?
Next destination: Sofia, Bulgaria.
An old, three wagons train took me to Sofia. The scenery outside the windows was changing fast, the wind was my music.
Brasilian and swiss travelers.
Somewhere in Bulgaria
Sofia, Bulgaria
A fishmonger at the Ladies Market. Earlier, the stall-holders at the market were all women. Hence, its name Ladies Bazaar.
Ladies Market
Escape into nature.
The kingdom of 7 lakes.
Rila Lakes, Bulgaria
2 days of hiking & sleeping in the nature at Lovna Hut.
Skopje, North Macedonia
Kotor Bay, Montenegro
Definitely, my favorite.
In front of the old town, situated at the bottom of the Lovcen mountain.
Barbecue party on the roof of an ancient prison.
Dubrovnik, Croatia
Zadar, Croatia
The unique in the world sea organ which plays music by the moves of the waves.
Morske orgulje
A lady on holidays.
A taxi-boat to a tiny island that shelter a monastery.
Pula, Croatia
Seaside town located at the end of the Istrian peninsula in Croatia.
Obvious italian influence in the old town of Pula. You can also find an amphitheatre that looks like the one in Rome but with less tourists around.
Locals at the local market.
The end.
