My initial concept as guided by the Art Lead.
 
Following the first submission with the initial concepts, the client critiqued that they would like to see the menus adhere to the style guides, which they promptly supplied us with.
 
The next four images are based on the official Dreamworks Marketing style guide.  
• Firecracker
• Black Powder version A
• Black Powder version B
• Packaging
They chose the Packaging style.
Concept/Inspiration for the Hero Alignments.
Layout Concepts for the Ability Select Menu.  A due diligence exercise in proving that the menu would be best served by NOT having all that text.
A breakdown of functionality created for the engineer implementing the placeholder art for the Ability select menu.

• Inventory 29x24 Pixels
• Ability Status 37x15 pixels
• Buffs/Debuffs 20x14 pixels
Concept for the Card Game.
Color and Framing investigation.
The final set of card overlay sprites.  Each one using its own 15 color palette.
Style exploration for 9 slice frames.
Concept for a Mahjong mini game that was one of the first things cut.
