Pravartan- Revival of jajam and block printing

This collection was based on revival of original block prints and technique of printing with natural dyes in Bhairavgarh, Ujjain. At present, jajam; a traditional floor covering of Bhairavgarh is extinct from the region, there is not a single sample of jajam left. This collection was an effort to revive jajam, its designs and fabric. Fabric for the jajam used is handwoven cotton durrie. It was an effort towards sustainable textiles.
