DEC Mapping Concept is a proposal to Bournemouth University to update their 'Design, Engineering & Computing' department. With an emphasis on colour, inclusivity and highlighting resources availability this graphic design looks to combat current issues faced my current and future students who will use these facilities.
Features:
- Main Colour screen, displayed on each floor the, rooms were broken into 5 groups, a complementary colour was given to each of these sections.
-Colour Pathways, mapping the floor with the same colours and leading up the side of each door.
-Inclusive Design, a texture was also assigned to each of the 5 groups, aiding visually impaired students or visitors.
-Room Availability Screen and App, Students can search resources, free computers and staff members through the Interactive Screen on ground floor but also through an App on their Smart Phones.
