The Slab Bench is about up-cycling materials and creating a design that is accessible to the general public. There are always new and interesting materials and designs that cater to sustainable design but more often than not the public never gets to see these designs implemented in their daily lives. The slab bench allows individuals to use simple over the counter components that can be found at any local hardware store to create a unique bench that uses scrap material from local craftsman and builders. Through the use of over the counter parts, scrap material, and community involvement the Slab Bench can be made for very little costs.
