Project: Disregard / Cherish Layout
Project Description: Integrated Learning course at Otis College of Art and Design. A small group of designer including myself was given the opportunity to interview farmers in Layton, CA. The majority of all produce eaten in the United States is grown right here in San Joaquin Valley.
The article and illustration describes the disconnection between consumer and farmer. The spread illuminates farmer's process. How do farmers ensure out food is safely produce, pick and package our food. Most importantly why are the people producing our food invisible? I emphasized how consumers can directly support farmers and in return farmers can directly increase the health of the consumer.
