A cinemagraph is a image with an aspect that moves in a repeated motion. When I think of something like this my mind instantly goes to the idea of monotony or routine. As my folio this semester is focused on my identity, and relationship with mental illness (specifocally Borderline Personality Disorder and Depression) and my growth I chose to represent the most monotonous part of my day, getting ready. As well as representing how my self image can make me hate myself and feel vitriolic towards myself. In the last year I have learnt to love myself with the help of my favourite band which will also be represented in this assessment aswell, but I still find my morning routine particularly hard, especially before my medication.
