Created by Malala Yousafzai, Assembly is an online platform for girls and young women around the world to share their thoughts, challenges and accomplishments — and for all of us to learn from this new generation of leaders. This year Malala Fund decided to make a print edition of Assembly, filled with articles, essays, stories, photos and illustrations that were published online during their first year.
I, along with Tyla Mason, worked with Malala Fund to bring the print edition of Assembly to life. We were tasked to create a free-form and youthful layout that could relate to young women around the world. We made the print publication feel like an illustrated journal where the readers would able to revisit this edition and discover new things with each rereading.
