Tear It Off: A Visual Dream Interpretation

This is a dream I had in 2017 when I endured one of the most difficult season of transformation in my short lifetime thus far.
I took the time to draw it our visually to share at the APEX Conference during a break session I thought called Unmasked: Discovering the Hero Within Your Secret Identity.
• So I was in the shower just doing my thing. Singing something good, probably getting the words wrong. You know, the usual.
• And I get out of the shower. It’s streamy, you know, I use a lot of hot water so it’s straight smokey in there and I clean off the mirror.
• I’m looking about myself in the mirror, checking me out, messing around, you know how it goes. But I noticed something small on my forehead like a small tear or something.
• I kid you not, in that moment my whole face started coming off, melting off my face. It was disgusting. I could see something underneath and it grossed me out. This is terrifying and I ran out of the bathroom holding my face up with my hands.
• I went into the Living Room where my Dad and my Brother were posted up, chillin like they got paid to do it. And I explain my horror to them with a simple phrase, “My face is falling off.”
• I went into the Living Room where my Dad and my Brother were posted up, chillin like they got paid to do it. And I explain my horror to them with a simple phrase, “My face is falling off.”

• They looked at me like I was crazy. They saw nothing wrong. So they replied with things like “You’re fine.” and “You look good.” But I wasn’t. In disbelief, I ran back to the bathroom to check myself again.
• My face was definitely falling off, there was something new form but I didn’t want that what was underneath. I sat there holding my face up. I wasn’t not doing a great job.

• I heard the voice of Jesus telling me quietly to “Tear it off! Tear it off!” The voice got louder and louder as I sat there eyes closer holding up a falling face.

Then I woke up.
