I was hired by Art Speigelman and Bob Callihan of Neon Lit to illustrate Barry Gifford´s Perdita Durango. The publisher was Avon Publishers and the 112 page graphic novel was also published in Germany and France. For some reason Japan turned us down! I enjoyed the noir feel for the whole thing, using my interest in French noir films as an inspiration.  A movie of Perdita was made later staring Rosie Perez as Perdita  and Javier Bardem as Romeo, directed by Spanish film maker Alex de la Iglesia.
