Penguin Design Awards 2013: The Wind in the Willows
For the cover of 'The Wind in the Willows' I wanted to use a mixture of illustration and photography. Since the heart of the story is the about the creatures of the river bank I wanted this to be the focal point of the cover. However with the use of looming shadows of the setting overhead was to convey that danger is just around the corner.
