One of the best music genres that a lot of people listen today is the Electronic Dance Music or popularly known as EDM. It is one of the main reasons why a lot of people flock to music festivals and thanks to the DJs that dedicated most of their careers to perfect the genre of EDM.
Maybe it would be proper to give them their much-deserved recognition by ranking the top ten EDM DJ’s who made their names in this very popular music genre so check out the top ten EDM DJs for 2019.
1. Martin Garrix- This Dutch DJ who is now a record producer made his way into stardom in 2016. The Amstelveen, Netherlands native is ranked as the number one DJ in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list for three straight years from 2016 to 2018.
2. Marshmello- This American electronic music DJ and also a producer was first noticed for remixing songs that are not EDM under his album Joytime which first released in 2016 where his carrier single “Keep It Mello” became a total hit in the EDM genre which made him achieve to the Top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100 which also paved his way into stardom.
3. W&W- This Dutch DJ and also a record producer who is manned by Ward Van der Harst and Willem Van Hanegem began their careers by making trance music before they switched to electro house and also big room house music.
4. Tiesto- Also a Dutch DJ and Breda, Netherland’s record producer, he was once named as the “The Greatest DJ of All Time” by the Mix Magazine in 2013 via a poll voted by EDM fans. He was also named as the “Best DJ of the last 20 years” and highly-renowned by a lot of music lovers.
5. Hardwell- Another Dutch DJ on the list, Hardwell is a renowned electro house DJ and a record producer who also hails from Breda, Netherlands. He was voted to be 2013 and 2014’s world’s number one DJ on DJ Mag and ranked as the top three DJ in the top 100 DJs of 2018.
6. Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike- These Belgian and Greek DJs who are also a tandem for record production were ranked the number one DJ in 2015 on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs List.
7. Diplo- This American DJ and also a record producer is the co-creator and the lead member of Major Lazer’s electronic dancehall music. This L.A based DJ he was nominated for his first-ever Grammy Award for Record of the Year.
8. Illenium- This American DJ and producer is the man behind MrSuicideSheep’s label. He made it to the number six on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums Chart and also 19th in the Billboard Top heat seeker’s chart.
9. The Chainsmokers- This duo of Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart from the United States were popular for the EDM-pop music. They made it to the top ten in the US Billboard Hot 100 in 2015 and eventually won two American music awards, and seven of the Billboard Music Awards, and to top that eight iHeartRadio Music Awards.
10. Zedd- This multi-instrumentalist DJ and songwriter who is a Russian-German made it to the number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 which earned him the Grammy for the best dance recording.
