KFOR-TV, locally known as Oklahoma’s News 4, is the leading news station around the state and a NBC affiliate. Each day, I craft graphics and animations that illustrate news stories for five different shows which convey information through the use of design principles and effective typography. During my time here, I have had the opportunity to play a vital role in award-winning promotional pieces and graphics packages. I also had the chance to play a role in the an historic rebrand which included a new building and studio look.
The samples included here reflect designs for various instances of graphics which required knowing how the studio is set (where anchors would be standing, where the auto-generated logo chip would be, etc.), and then I would design a graphic that I felt would best illustrate a story.
Occasionally, I would also create animations for stories, news opens, and assets for commercials for the station's client sponsors.
